Self - Care Tip

Let’s start off with a little test:

    Image result for self love
  • Do you look as good as the next guy (or girl)?
  • How much do you earn in comparison to others?
  • Do you wear the right clothes?
  • Are they better at makeup?
  • Do you fit in?

How did it feel when considering those questions?

If you often compare yourself to others, you’re not alone.

I’ve lived most of my life comparing myself to others. At first, it was at school. But as I got older, I began comparing other metrics: my looks, job title, income level, my work ethic, material things.

Material things is one of the main things I compare myself too, looking at what others have on Instagram has made me feel this way. I sometimes feel so depressed and ask myself why am i not on the same level as them.

It came to the point I nearly bought Balcencigas runners for £390, I was at checkout and it was actually my little sister who stopped me and asked if I actually want them or if I was buying it because everyone else has it? I completely went off the site because the main reason I was buying it was for that reason.

So, what I am trying to say is, try and stay in control of the images and information that you consume. Social media is a devil  but there’s soo much knowledge and opportunities you can get on social media. It’s what you make it.

I unfollowed all the accounts that didn’t uplift me, educate me or made me question myself. My Instagram feed has been nothing but positivity and knowledge of self ever since.

I understand you 100% when it comes to Instagram. Social media is WHAT you make it. You chose who to follow and what you generally see.
